"I lived and worked in camden a lot of my adult life. I had a flat in Regents Park Road when I was a student, and a studio still life off St Pancras Way for over 35 years. Over that poeriod of time Camden Market has grown from a small stall market selling cheap street style clothes to Punks and Goths to a more modern market housed in purpose built buildings which were old canal side warehouses. One feature of the shops on Camden High street were there decorated fronts. In 2007 many still sold street style clohing and many were tattoo and piercing parlours. There were many record shops for DJ's and those looking for off beat bands music. This series of photos is a tribute to the memory of those shop fronts which have all but gone today. Camden Market rolls on and is, I think, the second or third biggest tourist attraction in London. I hope you enjoy the photos of my part of London" Paul Williams 2023
